What are the recommended maximum sizes for images (background, homepage messages and cover image)?
It is essential to illustrate your environment in order to make it more pleasant to use.
For background images (skin):
- They must have a minimum width of 1800 pixels, with a 4/3 ratio or, failing that, 16/9 for the height (the idea being to adapt to all screens). In a hosted environment, the background images are dealt with by Humanperf Software.
For images of homepage messages:
- It is necessary to start with a minimum of 1200 pixels for a full width. Be careful, if the images are to be displayed on HD PC screens, choose 1500 pixels.
For the cover image, banner image (in the initiative page or in the plan page for example):
- Displayed in full width at the top of the element's sheet, it is best to start with a minimum of 1600 pixels wide and 360 pixels high.
For a background image:
- It should ideally be less than 100 kb, and generally less than 300 kb.
For a thumbnail (for the "Explore" mode or for displaying the plans on the homepage):
- Ideally, it should be less than 1500 pixels wide and 1100 pixels high.
If you do not have images with the exact sizes, the application will automatically resize them, which is not an issue when the image does not contain text. However, when there is text present, it is better to use the recommended sizes above.
It is important to optimize the images as much as possible so that they are as small as possible in order to facilitate navigation in the environment.
You can find sample illustrations in the “Graphic Elements” folder located in Documentation & Support.
