What are the different classifications available for initiatives?

Beyond the organizational structure, IDhall SC offers extra setting to better track your initiatives, the option is available if the “Classification” module is activated.

Categories

Is it necessary to distinguish between different types of initiatives? Corrective Action, Preventive Action, 8D, DMAIC Project, R&D Project, IT Project, Just Do It, Kaizen, Breakthrough Project,.... Those types are defined as Categories. An initiative may be associated with only one category.


Classes

Is it necessary to track the benefits of the initiatives? Quality improvement, Environment, Customer Delight, Digital transformation, IT, Cost reduction, Sales increase, Supply Chain efficiency,... Those benefits are defined as Classes. Those classes can be constructed in the form of a tree structure allowing detailed benefits to be defined if necessary. An initiative may be associated with N classes.


Events

Is it necessary to trace the source of the initiative? Audit, Review, Compliance, Technology Watch, Survey, ... Those sources are defined as Events. When the number of events is broad and of many different kinds, it is recommended to define Event Types. They will offer easier reading in events drop-down lists. An initiative may be associated with N events.
