How are the automatic rating calculations of opportunity analysis grids calculated?

In Administration > Assessment tools > Evaluation scales, there is an option to specify that all criteria must be filled in order for the automatic rating to be calculated. This option is titled "Calculate the automatic rating only if all criteria are completed".
By default, this option is enabled for all scales that use "Average rating based on the weight of each criterion" as the mode for "Calculation of the automatic rating".

The calculation of the automatic rating in the analysis grids varies depending on whether this option is enabled or not:

  • If "Calculate the automatic rating only if all criteria are completed" is enabled, then the automatic rating of the grid remains as "Not specified" until all criteria in the grid are filled in.
  • If "Calculate the automatic rating only if all criteria are completed" is disabled, then only the filled criteria are taken into account. If the scale uses a calculation mode based on the weighting of criteria, only the weight of the filled criteria is considered in the weighting. Therefore, the fact that some criteria are not filled no longer penalizes the automatic rating.
